ESTER-C 500mg.
THE BODY READY VITAMIN
The whole body protection of Ester-C provides
the important benefits of vitamin C to several critical areas. Research shows
that these areas include your immune system, joints, heart, eyes, skin - and
even your pets.
Probably the most famous Vitamin, Vitamin C
has long been recognized as an important part of health and well-being. Credited
by the famous and not so famous for properties which include supporting healthy
immune systems, cardiovascular systems and cardiovascular function, Vitamin
C has been credited with good heart health and eyesight and healthy blood vessels
which contributes to heart and eye health. Credit has also been given to Vitamin
C for supporting the formation and maintenance of healthy collagen. Strong bones
and healthy joints have also been credited to Vitamin C but the most recent
discussions of Vitamin C have been with regard to the antioxidant properties
of the long loved vitamin.
The antioxidant protection we get from Vitamin C has been shown to help protect
us from the damage caused by free-radicals. Free-radicals are molecules whose
bonds have been split in a way to leave and unpaired electron. Since nature
doesn't like unpaired electrons, this molecule is very unstable and will react
very quickly with other compounds, trying to "steal" the needed electron
to become stable. This causes the molecule that has been attacked to become
a free-radical and the chain reaction begins. This chain reaction can result
in the disruption of the living cell.
Some free-radicals form naturally during metabolism or are created when the
immune system is trying to neutralize viruses and bacteria, but environmental
factors such as pollution, radiation, cigarette smoke and herbicides can also
cause free radicals. Normally the body will handle free radicals, but if anti-oxidants
are unavailable or if the free-radical production is excessive, damage can occur.
It is important to remember that free radical damage accumulates with age.
Antioxidants, such as Vitamins C and E are thought to protect the body against
free radical effects by donating one of their own electrons to the free-radical
thus ending the electron "stealing". The antioxidants don't become
free-radicals, since they are stable in either form. Vitamin C is the most abundant
water-soluble antioxidant in the human body. Acting primarily in the cellular
fluid, Vitamin C actively combats the free-radical formation caused by pollution
and cigarette smoke.
Ester-C* is an innovative complex of Vitamin
C, Essential Calcium, and Vitamin C metabolites that is "Body-Ready*".
Being "Body-Ready*" means that this Vitamin C has undergone a patented
water- based process. In this process, ascorbic acid undergoes changes similar
to those that occur in the body, making the presence of metabolites possible.
In a preliminary study, the metabolites appear to help the Ester-C* work differently
than ordinary Vitamin C. Readily absorbable, Ester-C* is acid neutralized (pH
6.7) thereby being gentle on your stomach and non-irritating to the digestive
system. The addition of Ester-C* will continue to increase the fame and popularity
of the already most famous and popular Vitamin on the planet.
